Privacy Policy — Community Preview

Information and purposes

Applications collect professional name, company, role, country, specialization, language, business email, and stated reasons for joining. Technical logs, IP information, authentication/session details, profile data, posts, comments and media may be processed as the community operates. Applications do not automatically create accounts. Optional profile publication and optional marketing are separate choices.

Processing and sharing

The community runs on a server in Germany. WordPress and PeepSo support the site; external AI translation and CRM processing require separate checks, appropriate lawful bases, data-processing agreements where applicable and safeguards for cross-border transfer. Private chats must not be routed to external AI translation services without appropriate controls and consent. The legal bases under the EU GDPR depend on the specific processing activity; they are not automatically supplied by a single checkbox.

Russian personal-data localization

Applications from Russia through the German database are paused pending a dedicated assessment of requirements applying to personal data of Russian citizens, including Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ. The country selector alone cannot determine citizenship or establish full compliance.

Retention and rights

Retention periods, automatic deletion rules, backup lifecycle and processors must be reviewed before public registration. Subject to applicable law, individuals can request access, correction, deletion, limitation or export of data and withdraw optional consent via v.kovalev@potatoes.news. If GDPR applies, complaints may be made to a competent supervisory authority.
