Community Guidelines

International Potato Tour brings together growers, seed companies, processors, researchers, suppliers and trade professionals. The community is being tested with invitation-only registration.

Professional participation

Use your real professional affiliation, share accurate information, respect other members, and disclose commercial interests when recommending products or services. Do not impersonate another person or organization.

Expert and verification badges

Community badges indicate that a specific identity, affiliation or professional role was reviewed by administrators. Badges do not guarantee creditworthiness, product quality, contractual performance or scientific correctness. Only administrators may award or revoke badges after a documented check.

Posts, research and trade

Credit original sources, obtain permission before sharing photographs or confidential materials, and distinguish research results from commercial claims. For trade offers, include a clear description, location and conditions. Do not publish misleading price or yield data.

Respect and moderation

No harassment, scams, spam, discriminatory abuse, unauthorized scraping, or disclosure of private contact details. Moderators may limit access, remove content or suspend accounts to protect members.

Languages and AI translation

Members may communicate in their preferred language. Automated translations, when introduced, may be inaccurate; always check original wording for prices, amounts, pesticide usage, safety information, variety names and contractual terms. Private messages will not be submitted to external translation providers without the appropriate controls and consent.
